Friends of Ditcheat School

Friends of Ditcheat School (FoDS) is our school association consisting of parents, staff and friends from the local community. FoDS works very closely with the school to enrich the children’s experiences by funding visits within the local area and further afield; paying for visitors to come into school to perform or work with the children; buying equipment for learning and play, and organising and supporting a number of social occasions throughout the year, such as the Christmas lunch, parties and/or discos, bingo and seasonal fayres.

Everyone is always welcome to come along to the meetings, next dates are available on the facebook page Friends of Ditcheat School FB, the School website and the weekly newsletter.

Go to the EasyFundraising website or download the app to your phone or tablet. A whole host of online retailers are included and with every purchase you make, FoDS will receive a cashback amount.

Keep an eye on the School newsletter, noticeboard and https://www.facebook.com/Friendsofditcheat/ to keep updated with our events!

Wondering what FoDS does with the funds raised?

Forest school equipment for every child to have outdoor learnling weekly.

New books! An excellent reading scheme for the children in our school. This is something that will benefit every child and help make reading a wonderful, fun experience for them and set them up to love reading for life. New library books to replenish the library.

The Fods donate money towards school trips/visits so every child received subsidised trips for the year - this enable teachers to plan more visits. Children love to learn off site in the real world and have been on trips to:

The Roman Villa at the Newt

The Fleet Air arm museum

Lyme Regis KS1 beach/ fossils trip
