In DT, we have planned and made ferris wheels. We drew around a template to get the shape and then cut these out. We worked together supporting each other to fix the wheel to the axel. Look at the fabulous ferris wheels that we have made.
In Science we tested different materials to see which materials changed shape by bending, twisting, stretching, rolling and squashing it.
In English we have been learning the story ‘Jim and the Beanstalk’. Here we are retelling the story in role as Jim or the giant.
In DT this week we have started to make our Ferris wheels.
In Science we found different ways to sort a collection of materials. The children grouped the materials into their properties.
In Maths we have been using base 10 to help us partition numbers. The children have partitioned the numbers into tens and ones.
