In the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) we work towards our seventeen Early Learning Goals (ELG) and develop our Characteristics of Effective Learning (COEL). These are an essential foundation for us to become successful, well-rounded and eager learners throughout our lives.

We learn through play inside and outside – sometimes it is adult directed but most of the time it is child initiated (where we follow our own ideas). Our teachers provoke and guide our learning based on our interests and understanding. They observe our play and play alongside us to help challenge and support our learning and development.
